Teresa earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology and Master’s degree in social work from University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. She has been providing clinical social work services and therapy for over 20 years. She has worked with adolescents, adults (including college students and the elderly) and couples in a variety of settings and professional capacities, including outpatient mental health clinics, private practice, home health care, disability, assisted living facilities and online. Her work includes helping clients from all walks of life who present with a variety of concerns, such as anxiety, depression, family/relationship dynamics, emotional/physical/sexual abuse, life transitions, loss and grief, adjustment difficulty, coping with medical illness, infidelity, parenting issues, divorce and blended families.

Teresa will approach your treatment by working to best address your specific concerns, while combining elements from several evidence-based modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), psychodynamic theories, solution-focused, prolonged exposure therapy, mindfulness and mind-body interventions. She will create a non-judgmental, safe therapeutic space to allow you to freely explore your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs in order to facilitate a deeper understanding, develop a new perspective and learn new skills.
