Emily Braun, Master’s Level Counseling Intern

Emily earned her bachelor's degree from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota and is currently completing her master's degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands. She brings a compassionate and grounded approach to counseling, creating a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable, understood, and encouraged in their growth. Her counseling approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with client-centered techniques to help individuals better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

She works collaboratively with clients to build practical coping skills while fostering greater self-awareness and lasting change. Emily also offers walk-and-talk therapy for clients who prefer a more relaxed, movement-based setting, recognizing that healing can happen in a variety of environments.

In addition to counseling, Emily is a pianist and values the role creativity and self-expression can play in overall well-being. She is passionate about helping clients move toward greater clarity, resilience, and emotional wellness.
